The Leader of the Opposition in the West Bengal legislative assembly, Suvendu Adhikari, has lodged a police complaint against Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee. Banerjee allegedly threatened to arrest BJP members if her own party leaders were arrested by central agencies.

Adhikari, in his complaint, stated that Banerjee's comments were a direct threat and requested the police to register an FIR. If the police refuse, Adhikari plans to approach the additional chief judicial magistrate's court after waiting for 72 hours.
